My W-2 Form states that I live at my parents house but I do not live there and I own my own home outright. What should I do to correct the issue and how does this impact my tax return?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

The wrong address, on the Form W-2, does not impact your tax return.

You simply file as if the address, thereon, is correct. To correct the error,

you need to complete a new Form W-4, with your payroll department,

so that your payroll records are updated, to reflect your correct address.
