What is the standard deduction for 2010 going to be?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

The 2010 standard deduction amounts are as follow:

"married filing jointly" & "surviving spouse" = $11,400;

"head of household" = $8,400;

"single" & "married filing separately" = $5,700.

The additional standard deduction of age 65, or older

or blind = $1,400; if single; or $1,100 if married.

The standard deduction amount = $950, or the sum of

$300 plus earned income; if, the taxpayer is claimed as a

dependent on another tax return.
