My wife and I are both unemployed. I pay for the cobra health insurance coverage and some of my prescriptions with my savings and unemployment insurance. Can I deduct these expenses?
ANSWER
The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:
They are deductible medical expenses, that may be deducted
on Schedule A, of your Form 1040; however, only the amount that
is in excess of 7.5% of your adjusted gross income [AGI] is
deductible.
