How do I record when I receive a check for a job we did? Would I debit our cash and credit our accounts receivable?

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:
Yes; assuming that an invoice was prepared, and the sale
was posted to your "A/R" account, once the invoice is paid,
you will debit the "cash" account, and you will credit the "A/R"
account.
