Can I take the required minimum distribution for my annuity and my 401k only out of my 401k? I have both an annuity (which I would not like to withdraw from for a couple of years) and a 401k.

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Unfortunately, RMDs are calculated on an account by account basis. If you had multiple IRAs, you could select which IRA you wanted to withdraw from. But, that is not the case with an annuity and a 401K.
