I am a sole proprietor and wanted to know if I have to provide the landlord for my office with a 1099? The landlord is a corporation and not an individual.

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

The corporation/non-corporation requirement supersedes the obligation to report rental payments on a form 1099. Specifically, if the landlord is a corporation and not an individual, partnership or estate, then you do not need to issue a 1099 as per the instructions of form 1099.
