We own multiple homes and we're wondering if we're able to deduct personal property taxes on all of these homes?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

If they are personal homes, property taxes may be deductible as per IRC Section 164(a)(1). You may be referring to mortgage interest as a deductible expense that is limited to your primary home and your secondary home.

Please note that personal property taxes are deductible on line 7 of Schedule A of your form 1040.
