We're an online seller of shoes and other footwear goods. Is there any internet sales tax if we're based in a sales tax locality in Alaska, but ship to a client where this is no sales tax?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

There is currently no state sales tax in Alaska. However, local municipalities are allowed to levy their own sales taxes. As such, it is certainly possible for a buyer in a no sales tax region to purchase an item over the internet that would normally be subject to sales tax if purchased in person.
