I currently live in Idaho, but all of my work is in Washington and I live in Washington 5 days a week for work. Will I get a tax credit from Idaho for state tax paid in?

ANSWER

Expert Niky Kartari's Answer:

Idaho has published a guide to determine residency and tax reporting requirments.  Below is the link to the Publication

RESIDENCY STATUS AND IDAHO SOURCE INCOME HOW RESIDENCY AFFECTS YOUR IDAHO INCOME TAX

If you look through this guide, you will find the answer to your question.  Washington  state does not have a state tax so I am presuming Idaho tax was withheld.  I cannot give a more specific answer as residency and being domiciled in Idaho are defined differently and you would need to check the guide to determine your tax obligations to Idaho based on your situation.
