I am a photographer doing a business in North Carolina, but ship my orders to clients in different states. Do I need to charge them North Carolina sales tax?

North Carolina is a destination based state, which means that NC sales taxes are only collected if the client lives in North Carolina. Therefore, you do not need to collect NC sales tax for clients based in other states.
