My wife recently passed away. I'm considering cashing in her 401K of $75,000 to pay off most of my remaining mortgage which is $85,000. I am currently unemployed and don't want to risk losing my home. What do you advise?
ANSWER
The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:
This is a plausible investment strategy; provided that your home
value equals or exceeds the $85K loan payoff amount.
