If the business you have worked at no longer exists, where can you get your W-2 Form?

ANSWER

Expert Michael Lim's Answer:

If the business no longer or exists, or has gone bankrupt, it is a fair bet that you will not be receiving a W-2 form (as they would have had to prepare it).

If you contact them, and they cannot provide you one (or you cannot reach them), the best alternative is to use your last paystub as proxy for your W-2.  Fill out IRS Form 4852, "Substitute for W-2," and attach this to your tax return.
