My husband is now only receiving disability income in the form of social security disability and his disability from the VA. Does he need to file taxes?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

See IRC 104. The disability income is tax exempt. He should

still file his annual tax return; to prevent the IRS, and the VA

Department of Revenue, from ever asserting that he had other

taxable income that  was not reported.
