Can the IRS take ALL but $15.60 of a person's paycheck? They took out of my next week's paycheck $957 which left me with $15.60 for two weeks? Aren't there maximums that they can take?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Yes; the maximum garnishment amount is dependent

on your filing status, and on your number of dependents.

Obtain a copy of the IRS wage garnishment, from your employer,

and file a claim to set forth the aforesaid information, so that the

garnishment amount is adjusted accordingly.
