I work in New York City and Connecticut. Do I file taxes with both states and how does the withholding tax work?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

You are only subject to state income tax in the state in which you are a resident; regardless

of where you work. You will report 100% of your taxable income, to your state of residency; again,

regardless of where the income was earned. If taxes are withhheld by a non-resident state, you must

file a non-resident return, therewith, and claim a 100% refund of the non-resident taxes that were withheld.
