If I worked in Minnesota for six months of the year and then moved to Iowa and worked the remaining six months of the year there, will I have to file one or multiple state tax returns?

If you work in both states, you will have to file a state tax return in Iowa and Minnesota. Unfortunately, those two states do not have state reciprocity like in other states.
