If you live in Indiana and you are self employed and your business is based and operate in Illinois, do you have to taxes for both states, Illinois, or Indiana?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

You only owe state income taxes to your state of residency. So, if you

are an IN resident, you report your income, on the IN tax return; not

in IL.
