Can I claim the child care credit while living abroad and paying someone to care for my children?

Yes, you may still qualify for the child care credit even though you live abroad. Instead of providing an the provider's social security number or tax identification number on form 2441, you need to enter LAFCP (Living Abroad Foreign Care Provider) in that area.
