I have to wear black or white uniforms to work everyday. Can I write the clothes off if I purchased them?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Yes; the cost, and upkeep, of a uniform, including laundering,

and cleaning, are deductible, if the uniform is required as a

condition of employment, and the uniform is not adaptable to general

wear. The deduction is reported on the schedule A, of your form 1040,

and it is subject to the "2% [AGI] adjusted gross income" floor.
