If my employer sends me away from home, am I allowed to depreciate my RV because it is my home away from home?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Yes: see IRC 162(a); & Reg. 1.162.2. The deduction is allowed for ordinary and necessary travel expenses that you incur, while away from home, in furtherance of the conduct of a trade or business. So, you may depreciate the business use % of the RV.
