I lent money to my 40 year old daughter for her divorce and child custody case. If the Court does not reimburse her attorney fees, what is the best way for me to recover on my tax return?

Unfortunately, this is a gift to your Daughter. If you are not reimbursed, it would not qualify 

as deductible loss.
