What should I claim in order to make sure all my taxes are paid and I get a tax refund?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

This question depends on your taxable income amount. The amount of Federal

taxes, that are withheld, from your compensation, is computed on Form W-4.

The 2010 exemption amount is $3,650, per person claimed on the return. The

2010 standard deduction amount is $5,700 [$11,400 if married filing jointly]. You may

also itemize your deductions, on Schedule A, of your Form 1040, if the sum of your

residential mortgage interest expense, property taxes, charitable contributions, etc.

exceeds the aforesaid standard deduction amounts. There is also a child tax credit,

if you have dependent children, who are under age 17. The 2010  tax brackets are:

10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, & 35%. Using the aforesaid information, you can estimate

the correct withholdings amount, on your Form W-4.
