I printed W-2 Forms for my employees on QuickBooks. Is this acceptable for the IRS?

 W-2's printed for employees from Quickbooks are acceptable to be distributed to employees and maintained for employer records.  An employer who file paper copies of W-2's is required to use pre-printed forms (Red Copies) for the copies that are submitted to the Social Security Administration.

 

A preprinted W-3 Summary Transmittal form is also required to be filed with the government copies of W-2's.
